Roger Thoney, Economic Advisor

Roger Thoney is an economic troubleshooter and economic advisor to the Otis Hensley for Governor campaign. His focus as an economic troubleshooter is to help those who are struggling to make ends meet by creating more jobs to increase household incomes and reducing the cost of living.

Roger is 52 years of age and lives with his wife, Rita, in Highland Heights, Kentucky in Campbell County. He is a registered professional engineer in Kentucky with BSEE, MBA, and MS Economics degrees from the University of Kentucky and a MSEE from The Ohio State University. He has worked as an engineer for The Procter & Gamble Company, The Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company, and IBM.

Roger ran for Kentucky's 4th District Congressional seat in the Republican primary in 2000 and 2002 and for Lieutenant Governor with Sonny Landham in the last gubernatorial election in 2002-2003. He is currently trying to get a bill passed in the legislature (HB725 sponsored by Brad Montell in the 2006 regular session) that will initiate an investment program to invest in new businesses and existing small businesses that want to grow in Kentucky. The program initiated by this bill is designed to increase household incomes by creating over 560,000 new jobs in Kentucky.
