How You Can Help
In my first race in 2003, I did not accept money from anybody. I have worked all of my life and raised my family. I've never had to ask for anything. This is one race that I will need help.
Anyone who is willing to join my campaign, send me a letter or e-mail. I need volunteers, maybe 5 or 6 from every county in Kentucky. Help spread the word about my campaign by talking to your friends, neighbors, and relatives and encouraging them to get out and vote for me on Tuesday, May 22. Many people do not vote in the primary election, so it is important to stress that they must vote in May so that they can vote for me in November.
If you want to put up a sign for me, get a scrap piece of plywood and a scrap piece of 2x4, paint it white, and write in black Otis "Bullman" Hensley for Governor. Please include my website address, www.otisbullmanhensley.com, under my name. If you've got an old van or old box truck that you could put next to the road and write my name on it, I sure would appreciate it.
I'm asking everybody to send me $10 or $15, or whatever you can afford, to help me with the campaign. I need money for fuel and travel expenses, for signs, and to advertise on the radio and television. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Make your check payable to "Otis "Bullman" Hensley" and send it to Otis "Bullman" Hensley for Governor, PO Box 589, Wallins Creek, KY 40873. Include your name, address, occupation, and employer. Campaign finance laws require this information. Also, include your e-mail address so that we may communicate with you and indicate if you are willing to volunteer some of your time to help the campaign.
NOTE: Contributions are limited to $1,000 per individual per election. The primary and general elections are considered separate elections. Corporations, nonprofit organizations, and those who are not U.S. citizens cannot contribute to U.S. political campaigns.
