Health Care

      Health care costs are increasing at an alarming rate, making health insurance unaffordable for more and more people. This must stop and we must take steps to make health care affordable and health insurance available to those who need it. We cannot continue doing the same thing over and over. -- Otis "Bullman" Hensley

As Governor, I will

(1) Create a commission to study the health care industry in Kentucky and identify ways to operate differently that will reduce costs.

(2) Create an environment that will allow more insurance companies to enter the state.

(3) Allow Medicaid recipients to work without losing coverage.

(4) Open the Medicaid program to allow those who work but cannot afford health insurance to buy into the program.
