Welcome to the Mountain Masters 16-Mile Trail Run

    Each year in the beautiful mountains of Harlan, Kentucky, the Festival of the Mountain Masters gathers together the regions’ most talented artisans as they display their many arts and crafts on the weekend after Thanksgiving.

    In an effort to expand and grow this great festival, organizers decided to add the Inaugural running of the Mountain Masters 16 Mile Trail Run in 2005. This first running of the trail was met with great success as 77 runners from 7 different states signed up to conquer the mountain, while last year surpassed that with 95 runners from 9 states and one foreign country!

    We look forward to seeing you at the 3rd Annual race on November 24, 2007. This race has already proven to be a fall favorite of many runners across the region with beautiful mountain top scenery, finishers’ medals, and above average food and door prizes – not to mention awards hand-made by local artisans of the festival.
